Removal / Liquidation / Disposal Decision Calculator

Aging FBA inventory leaves you four exits, each with a different price tag. Enter your units, storage rate, removal and disposal fees, and what you could recover elsewhere — the calculator nets out keep vs. liquidate vs. remove-and-resell vs. dispose, ranked best to worst, so the decision is arithmetic instead of guesswork.

Removal decision: pro tips

  1. Set the keep horizon honestly. Storage looks cheap per month until you multiply units × rate × months — 400 units at $2.40 for 6 months is real money. Aged inventory plus compounding storage fees is usually what makes "keep in FBA" the worst option.
  2. Read the liquidation line as an estimate. Amazon's liquidation processing fee isn't in the number, so real recovery is lower. If liquidate and remove-and-resell rank close, the gap is probably thinner than it looks — get the current fee schedule before deciding.
  3. Dispose only when recovery is truly zero. For anything sellable — even slowly — remove-and-resell off-Amazon almost always beats disposal once you net out the removal and return-shipping fees. Disposal is for damaged, expired, or unsellable stock.

Why run the removal math instead of guessing?

Storage fees compound quietly: a few hundred units at a few dollars a month becomes thousands over a year, and aged-inventory surcharges make it worse. Meanwhile Amazon removal order fees, liquidation recovery, and Amazon disposal fees each carry their own cost — and guessing wrong means paying twice. How much are Amazon removal fees? They scale with your size and weight tier — which is exactly why this calculator asks for your product dimensions before ranking the exits.

Sellers who run the numbers often find the “obvious” answer was wrong: paying Amazon removal fees to resell off-Amazon can beat liquidation, and liquidation usually beats letting storage fees run. This calculator ranks all four exits by net cost from the figures you enter — every result is an estimate, not a guarantee.

How do I compare Amazon removal order fees?

Nine inputs, four net outcomes, one ranking:

  1. Enter your units, selling price, monthly storage cost per unit, and how many more months you'd keep the stock.
  2. Add Amazon's removal and disposal fees per unit, plus your expected liquidation recovery as a percent of price.
  3. Enter what you could realistically resell each unit for off-Amazon and the return-shipping cost per unit.
  4. Compare the four net outcomes, ranked best to worst — then act before another month of storage fees posts.

Removal Decision Calculator FAQs

Yes — free forever, no signup. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded or stored anywhere.
It depends on the exit you choose. An FBA removal order charges Amazon removal fees per unit plus return shipping; Amazon disposal fees cost less per unit but recover nothing; liquidation recovers only a small percent of the selling price. Enter your numbers above and the calculator ranks all four options by net cost.
A removal order is how you get FBA inventory back from Amazon's warehouses — either shipped back to you or sent for disposal. You pay Amazon FBA removal fees per unit plus return shipping. It sits between liquidating at a steep discount and paying storage fees indefinitely.
Four: keep paying storage, liquidate through Amazon's program (typically recovering a small percent of price), create a removal order to get units back and resell them elsewhere, or dispose of them entirely.
It is an estimate from the recovery percent you enter, before Amazon's processing fees. Treat it as directional and check Amazon's current fee schedule for the exact number.
Nowhere. Every calculation happens inside your browser tab. Your inventory numbers never leave your device.
